  • Produce training materials accessible in web format (HTML),

  • Obtain modules compatible with the SCORM 1.2 and 2004 standard in order to distribute them via a training platform LMS or MOOC.

What interests?

  • Use a writing guide making it easier to express the didactic purpose of each part.

  • Easily design complex resources such as quizzes.

  • Publish documents in several formats  (PDF, web,...), via various channels (website, learning platform, Virtual Learning Environment, print,...), from a unique source of content, without re-writing nor copy-pasting.

  • Homogenize the publications with the automated layout of documents.

  • Recombine course units and exercises to create different versions of the course.

  • Optimize the management and updating of information by creating shared educational units, without duplication.

How does it work?

Thanks to a specific writing guide, Opale enables one to write structured educational contents composed of three types of activities:

  • Learning activities organized in:

    • Content elements : to display and structure the information,

    • Writing exercises: practical activities with "contextualization - question - solution"

  • Self-assessment activities composed of exercises: MCQ, UCQ, Numerical-answer question, Matching, Fill-in-the-gaps exercise, Graphical multiple-choice question,...

  • Rich media activities: to split into sections a video or an audio sequence and enrich each segment, with text, definitions, pictures and additional multimedia resources...

The activities created can be gathered in Divisions to be aggregated in Modules containers.

Then the Modules are generated, with a simple click, in different formats adapted to the chosen distribution channel: paper, web,...

RemarqueTutorial and Exerciser: to extend Opale's functionalities

Opale includes a Tutorial extension which enables one to create tutorials (web but also paper and slideshow), especially suitable to design linear case study and allows learners to acquire good analysis practices.

Opale also integrates an extension for the production of Exercisers, sequences of exercises, for tests in the context of evaluation or self-learning or with a question bank approach.

  • the wsppack Opale or OpaleStarter to install on a SCENARIchain environment,

  • the desktop application Opale,

  • the desktop application and service MyScenari.

ComplémentChoose Opale or OpaleStarter?

OpaleStarter is a simplified version of Opale. Meant for beginners, it helps understand the document model more easily, then switch to Opale (without losing contents).
