For who?⚓

LTI-suite is intended for organizations (schools, government agencies, companies) that wish to implement a centralized system for creating, publishing, and making educational resources available through a learning management system (LMS), such as Moodle.

Its installation is restricted to system administrators in the Information Technology (IT) departments.

For what?⚓

In addition to one or more LMS, LTI-suite makes it easy to make educational resources created with Scenari (Opale, Dokiel, Topaze, etc.) available, ensure reliable updates without disrupting ongoing sessions, and analyze the learning records of cohorts of learners.

  • the storage of multimedia resources,

  • published instructional materials, particularly those in SCORM format,

  • the exploitation of instructional resources by learners connected to an LMS.

To write content, organize production, and publish documents⚓

  • Assist authors in writing and structuring textual, interactive, and multimedia content.

  • Offer advanced document management features: version history, trash bin, content derivation, etc.

  • Centralize, share, and manage the content produced.

  • Facilitate collaboration among authors, experts, and proofreaders: writing, proofreading, and approval cycles.

  • Define access rights and roles for each type of contributor.

  • Organize a team’s work.

  • Facilitate the localization of content (translation, regional specificities, etc.).

  • Automate the publication of documents in various formats for different channels (online, mobile, print, etc.).

LTI-suite relies on SCENARIchain-server for its writing, publishing, and collaboration server component.

To store multimedia files⚓

  • Centralize resources (video, audio, images, PDFs, etc.) in a repository (depot).

  • Apply automatic processing to these resources.

  • Access these resources from a SCENARIchain writing workspace to incorporate them into content.

When you upload an MP4 video to the depot, certain processes run automatically. For example, the video is converted into different sizes to make it easier to view on any type of device, and a banner consisting of thumbnails of the video is generated to identify it.

The standard formats for Scenari models are available in the depot component: web archives, audio (MP3, OGA), images (GIF, PNG, JPG/JPEG), OpenDocument, PDF, video (MP4, WebM), etc.

To distribute published documents⚓

  • Distribute the generated documents, particularly those in SCORM format, in a closed, authenticated repository.

  • Make instructional resources accessible from one or more LMS via the LTI protocol.

Updating a learning resource takes just one click in the SCENARIchain authoring tool. It is no longer necessary to export and import it into the LMS.

Whenever a significant update is made to the learning resource (such as adding an answer to a quiz), a new version of the document is automatically created in the repository.

This ensures that learners’ current sessions are not affected: consistency between the document’s content and the learners’ responses is maintained.

Conversely, if the changes made (spelling corrections, adding descriptive text, etc.) do not risk compromising data integrity, the SCORM resource for current sessions is updated.

To leverage instructional resources⚓

  • Analyze learning data using a standard report from an Opale module or by configuring a custom report for a Topaze nonlinear module.

  • View a specific learner’s responses by replaying the module they completed.

How does it work?⚓

LTI-suite is a Java web application (Web App). XML contents are stored in its own document graph oriented databases system. Documents are generated on the server.

Scenari editor is accessible through a simple up-to-date web browser (Brave, Chrome, Chromium (for Linux distributions), Edge, Opera, Vivaldi).

Installing SCENARIclient, built with Electron's engine and offering the same web editor, is an alternative to using a web browser.

Communication between the client layer and the server uses HTTPS protocole.
