New features (Dokiel 5)⚓

Dokiel 5 is based on version 6 of SCENARI.

  • The web editor replaces definitely the historical XED editor,

  • Titania becomes the default skin for the publications,

  • Release of the new SCENARIstyler, notably with new styling extensions – based on a form – allowing one to design a skin without any technical background.

This second version of the web editor continues the work initialized with Dokiel 4.5:

  • Stronger identification of the items' structure,

  • New icons,

  • Ergonomic improvements and editor style simplification.

Postscriptum (version 0.11) becomes the standard rendering engine for PDF publications.

The slideshow is now fully single-page based in order to be playable locally in a web browser, i.e. without being uploaded on a web server.

The Screen is richer than before and allows to link other Business items (Operating processs, Concept, Synoptic Tree, Screen).

Preview and Control tabs have been added on  On screen step list items.

One can now insert mathematical formulae in rich text blocks.

Transition to LibreOffice 7 (tested with LibreOffice 7.2.4) for OpenDocument resources.

New XML generator available on the items Guide, Theme, Module, Evaluation and Tutorial.

Dokiel Guide XML export

This generator exports the XML data of an item (and its items network) with the RNG syntax schema (XML feed documentation). This export will simplify the import of a Scenari XML feed in third-party tools (DTP or CAT processing, for instance).

One can set the export using two options:

  • Namespaces deletion
  • Single XML file

Web, slideshow and PDF (Postscriptum) publications now have CSS variables that one can edit through a SCENARIstyler form or directly in the skin.css file.
